The General Settings menu serves to dictate the workflow of guest self-ordering (Dine-In). The analogy is like choosing your restaurant's service model; whether it's a Fast Food style where guests pay first before orders are processed, or a family restaurant style where guests freely sit, order multiple times, and settle the bill before leaving. These settings automate your operational rules without manual staff intervention.

- Go to Orders > Dine-In Settings, then click the General Settings tab.
- This page contains automation rule toggles for the on-premise guest ordering experience.
- Guest Self-Seating Rule: Enable this toggle if you want to allow guests to scan the QR code and instantly access the menu without reporting to the cashier to have a table opened. This is highly ideal for untangling long queues during rush hours.
- Pay at Counter (COD) Rule: Enable this feature if you want to provide payment flexibility (Pay Later at Cashier). Guests can hit the order button and the kitchen starts cooking immediately. However, if disabled, the system locks the order flow; guests strictly must complete an online payment (Pay Upfront) before the ticket is sent to the kitchen screen.
By configuring these general settings, you are creating the service flow that best fits your restaurant's target market. Take control of your ordering flow automation and provide maximum comfort to your loyal customers.
